Welcome to the 32nd Bárány Society Meeting, being held in Uppsala, Sweden, August 25-28, 2024. We cordially invite you to participate as sponsor or exhibitor. Here you find information on how your organization may participate.

The Bárány Society is an international interdisciplinary society and facilitates contacts between basic scientists and clinicians engaged in vestibular research. The Society has been named after Robert Bárány; Nobel price laureate and professor at Uppsala University. The Bárány Society has its center in Uppsala and every six years a Bárány Society Meeting is organized in Uppsala. The number of participants at the previous meeting in Uppsala (2018) was 700.

The banquet at Uppsala Castle on Tuesday August 27 costs an additional SEK 1200.

Terms & Conditions | sponsorship and exhibition

Cancellation 
Cancellations must be sent in writing. The organisers shall retain 50% of the contract price if cancellation is received up to 5 months before the congress begins. 100% of the contract price will be charged if cancellation is received later than 5 months before the congress begins.

Terms of payment
An invoice will be issued after registration. Payment should be made within 30 days upon received invoice. Credit card payment is also possible.

VAT
All rates are stated excl. VAT, which will be charged according to Swedish legislation.

Credit card payment
Follow the instructions in the registration form. Approved cards are VISA and Mastercard. Please assure that your credit card is open for internet purchases.

Delegates from Sweden
Delegates from Sweden can choose between invoice and credit card payment.

Invoice
State your invoicing details on the payment page of the registration form. For invoices to a public sector (Region, kommun etc.), e-invoicing information must be stated on the payment page. Please note! If a new invoice has to be made due to an incorrectly stated invoicing address, an administrative fee of SEK 400 will be charged.

Credit card payment
Follow the instructions in the registration form. Approved cards are VISA and Mastercard. Please assure that your credit card is open for internet purchases.

Cancellation of participation
All changes and cancellations must be made in writing to congress secretariat Reed & Mackay, congress.se@reedmackay.com.

If cancellation for the Bárány Society Meeting is made by May 30, 2024, a cancellation fee of SEK 500 will be charged. If cancellation is made after May 30, 2024, no refund or reduction will be possible.

If cancellation for the Satellite Symposium is made by April 15, 2024, a cancellation fee of SEK 500 will be charged. If your registration fee has already been paid, it will be credited with a deduction of SEK 500. If cancellation is made after April 25, 2024, no refund or reduction will be possible.

If cancellation of the Banquet at Uppsala Castle is made by July 30, 2024, it will be credited in full. After July 30, no refund or reduction will be possible.

In the event that the congress is postponed due to circumstances outside of the Bárány Society and Reed & Mackay’s control, the above cancellation policy applies. Your registration fee would then be transferred to the new dates for the congress.

Cancellation of accommodation in Uppsala
Notification of cancellation must be made by e-mail and sent to Reed & Mackay. Cancellation of hotel reservation will be accepted until June 26, 2024. A cancellation fee of SEK 300/person will be charged. If cancellation is received later than June 26, or in case of no-show, full cost of the reservation will be charged, regardless of reason for cancellation.

In the event that the congress is postponed due to circumstances outside of the Bárány Society and Reed & Mackay’s control, the above cancellation policy applies.

Change of participant
If you cannot participate in the congress, you can transfer your registration to a colleague. The fee for transfer is SEK 250. Please contact the congress secretariat, Reed & Mackay, if you want to transfer your registration.

Dietary requirements
Only vegan/vegetarian food and allergies can be considered, no diets. Dietary requirements must be given to the congress secretariat no later than August 7. 
After August 7, no dietary requirements can be considered.
